An evaluation method for experimental necking detection of automotive sheet metals

چکیده
Abstract In sheet metal stamping, the occurrence of strain localization in a deformed is considered failure. As so, metal’s formability conventionally evaluated using Forming Limit Diagram (FLD), which separates principal space into safety and unsafety regions by Curve (FLC). This study presents an evaluation method for detecting based on Digital Image Correlation (DIC) during experiment. The commercial DIC software ARAMIS adopted to monitor strain-field distribution specimen’s surface. A detailed analysis proposed presented considering Nakajima tests conducted two automotive metals: AA6016 DP800. identified FLC compared with that well-established methods such as ISO 12004:2-2008 time-dependent methods.
